Casino Del Sol’s Annual Diaper Drive Benefits Community Programs
May 26, 2017 – On April 20, Casino Del Sol employees joined together to collect diapers for those in need during its annual Diaper Drive. This year, nearly 10,000 diapers were donated to two Pascua Yaqui services organizations: the Sewa Uusim Community Partnership and the Guadalupe Community Action Program.
The Sewa Uusim Community Partnership works to connect the energy and resources of the Pascua Yaqui tribal community to bring youth and families into balance in all aspects of their lives. The partnership provides health, behavioral health, recreation, education, law enforcement and social services.
The Guadalupe Community Action Program provides food boxes for Guadalupe residents with low incomes, assists with air conditioning repairs during the summer for those who cannot afford it, and assists with utility, rent and mortgage emergencies.
Since 2015, more than 78,400 diapers have been donated to community organizations through Casino Del Sol’s annual diaper drive.
“At Casino Del Sol, we are committed to serving our community,” said CEO of Casino Del Sol, Kimberly Van Amburg. “I’m proud that our staff comes together every year to do something that has an immediate and positive impact on people.”
