Tucson, Ariz's Casino Del Sol Names New COO and Hires GCO
July 24, 2017 – Casino Del Sol, The Sol of Tucson, promotes Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Steve Neely, to Chief Operating Officer (COO). The casino resort has also filled the top gaming position naming longtime casino gaming veteran, Louis DiCampli, as Chief Gaming Officer (CGO).
Formerly the CMO, Steve Neely has spent more than eight years at Casino Del Sol driving the strategic marketing efforts for the casino and all its amenities. In his new role as COO, he will manage all operational aspects of the property and will directly oversee the marketing, food and beverage, and surveillance departments for Casino Del Sol and its sister property, Casino of the Sun.
Neely has more than 20 years of senior-level executive experience with an emphasis on marketing, strategic planning, operational analysis, and revenue generation. He has served in many capacities at gaming properties throughout the country including as CMO at Acres 4.0 in Las Vegas, Vice President of Marketing for Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., Rivers Casino in Chicago, and both Sandia and Isleta Casinos in Albuquerque, N.M. He has also served as a Corporate Director for the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., and a master’s of business administration from Arizona State University.

New to the Casino Del Sol team is Louis DiCampli, who will serve as the CGO for Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun. In this capacity, he will provide leadership and vision to all gaming areas including slots, poker, blackjack, bingo and security. His top priority is to produce results by effectively analyzing game performance and introducing new and exciting games to the floor.
With more than 25 years of gaming experience, DiCampli has served in various capacities at gaming properties throughout the United States. Most recently he was the Executive Director of Gaming for Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, Calif. He also held the position of corporate Director of Gaming for Gila River Gaming Enterprise near Phoenix, overseeing gaming operations for three properties. Previously, he worked with Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Miss. and Players Island Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, La. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Richard Stockton State College and a master’s of business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
